THE TIME IS NOW

The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, has been put into a so-called “church bottle” through the ages, through ecclesiastical politics, dogmas, rituals and all kinds of doctrines.

Movement of the Spirit of Christ has led to a more or less revival at some times in history, but sooner or later always ended within the confines of ecclesiastical institutions.

Time and again a somewhat liberating message from the Gospel of Christ was slowed down, limited and subordinated to the existing dogmas, doctrines of all churches concerned.

Some examples are: the Reformation, the origin of the Baptist churches, the Quakers, the Pentecostal movement and more recently, the Jesus movement.

All these examples mentioned and all movements of the Spirit of Christ not mentioned here ended in part with a renewed embrace of the already existing ecclesiastical dogmas and regulations, supplemented with new dogmas and doctrines concerning the specific group on topics such as: the Holy Supper, the celibacy, adult baptism, speaking in tongues and so on.

Each time the Spirit of Christ has been in and is put into a bottle, which not only slows down the action of his healing power of love, but also seriously hinders it.

The time is now for action, real decisiveness, in a world of increasing egoism, individualism, discrimination, anti-Semitism, diminishing acceptance of the other, love for others and willingness to help people in need.

The time is now to take the Spirit of Christ out of the ecclesiastical bottle by people who are not only willing to do it but actually want to do it; who want to make practical efforts for all people, who give shape, make visible what the Spirit of Christ stands for in word and deed; to give love and compassion to all people regardless of origin, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, social demography, etc..

The time is now to join hands, not only to get the Spirit of Christ out of the church bottle, but to proclaim it in word and deed all over the world, in all cultures, in all countries.

The time is now to let go of all dogmas, doctrines, rituals and make way for one central thought, one central course of action; to do good to all people.

The time is now to cast off the yoke of the Church in order to be guided by the healing power of love of the Spirit of Christ.

This way, a new movement will arise that can actually change the world and all people on this planet.

This way, real hope will arise again, a real conviction that things must and can be done differently:

A true love/agape for all people.

The time is now to put this in a very practical way by using our modern tools, such as websites, YouTube and locally by actually working to solve the needs of humans and animals.

Not the church, not the Bible is the foundation of our faith.

The Spirit of Christ is the foundation of faith, the confidence that death has truly been overcome.

In this, we need each other more than ever.
