CONSTRUCTION/DESTRUCTION
The relative peace and quiet that we are currently experiencing in Europe stems from right-minded people who realized that at the heart of the matter wars actually do not serve any purpose.
Those in power tried to expand their sphere of influence, but lost that power just as often.
The Habsburgs, Napoleon, the Prussian Empire, Hitler and the King of Spain, to mention just a few, all have lived and learned that their power has its limits.
Many millions of deaths, broken lives and property destroyed were the result of this struggle of power.
In cooperation and unified thinking, people in Europe searched and found an answer in the second half of the twentieth century to prevent this senseless bloodshed.
Step by step the chaotic and obscure past of Europe was and is being turned into a certain coherence, a certain cosmos where as many people as possible can agree upon.
Poverty is slowly but surely making way for more prosperity for all people in Europe.
Where in the past a roof over your head was seen as a basic need, it has now been extended with all kinds of new core products which are considered to be normal basic values.
In addition to a house, food and something to drink, a car, a computer, holidays, etc. has become the new standard for Europe’s residents.
You would actually think that in these days everyone should be satisfied with everything that was built up after the Second World War.
All this, despite and thanks to, various (political) ideas and thoughts about how Europe must and should take shape.
” This far-reaching cooperation in Europe with Brussels as its capital, is a real courageous deed and never seen before in the history of Europe “
A merit of many people, political movements and religious influences.
We live in an unprecedented period without wars and unprecedented prosperity, made possible for everyone.
This however artificial construction of far-reaching cooperation in Europe with Brussels as its capital, is a real courageous deed and never seen before in the history of Europe.
Even the Roman Empire did not experience such a peace, they were constantly trying to clean up trouble spots of resistance.
The only disgrace within peacefully living Europe after World War II, was the Balkan war in the 1990s.
A war that underlined once again that cooperation, together finding the way to a better solution than waging war with each other, is a must to create prosperity and peace.
Thankfully, after the Balkan War these countries are looking for a suitable construction to achieve this.
All these countries are therefore looking to join the construction of the building of the Union.
A number of them are already connected to the standards and values of the new Europe.
Other Balkan countries are still in the waiting-room ready to become members of this European connection.
Also because of realizing that intense cooperation not only leads to lasting peace, but also means economic progress for their citizens.
They also want to get out of their chaos to work constructively on this élan of Europe.
Nothing goes without a struggle of course. In a considerable number of countries of the first order of the European Union, political parties can be found that wish to return to the closed borders, a protection of their country from the surrounding countries.
” Extreme populist parties respond to the fear of the people, who feel threatened by everything and everyone who thinks and acts differently, as well as terrorist threats and economic damage “
Not only can this be observed with the countries of the old gang. Also countries that have recently joined, such as Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic, experience the same effect in their countries.
In this case the foundation is the extremely populist way of thinking and acting of own people first, but also the longing for a safe dictatorship of the former communism is not strange to Poland and Hungary, for example.
These kinds of extreme populist parties respond to the fear of the people, who feel threatened by everything and everyone who thinks and acts differently, as well as terrorist threats and economic damage.
They often want the benefits of the European Union but otherwise like to decide everything themselves, including restricting the free press, suppressing the free speech of citizens, banning protests, etc..
In some of these European countries people, supported by mostly a large group of ignorant citizens, are even going so far, that the seperation of powers of the state, namely the judiciary power, the executive power and the legislative power, has to become one power. Also called dictatorship.
It should be noted that it is striking that all these extreme populist parties not only seek contact with Russia (read Putin), but are also supported by the same Russia in their activities to undermine the European Union.
The above mentioned way of thinking and acting is not only destructive, destroying everything that has value and does good to all people within the Union.
This form of destruction of the European way of thinking and acting is indeed a guarantee for new armed conflicts in Europe.
Apart from the fact that democracy and the democratic process in those countries will be completely destroyed.
Pro and contra thinking and expressing in order to create the best possible solutions, is turned into a strong anti-thinking and acting; anti-Europe, anti-Muslims, anti-subsidy to the needs of poorer member states, anti-immigration, anti-help to countries in need.
Own people, own country first and preferably completely on our own.
This kind of superior thinking led to the Second World War.
This protection from everything and everyone who thinks, feels and acts differently, is expressed in labeling of individual people and groups in general.
This kind of extreme right thinking is by definition extremely destructive.
” Populists have one goal in mind, to break down and destroy as much as possible of the converging Europe and its detestable co-operation “
To think and work constructively towards a better future for all Europeans and those who live in these Member States, is totally absent in these populists.
They have one goal in mind, to break down and destroy as much as possible of the converging Europe and its detestable co-operation.
This way they can build their own ideal state within the borders of their own heimat.
Of course only their ideas, as being the only outstanding influence in those countries.
Extreme populism and extreme right is far from democratic.
Take Wilders for example, who is the only one who has a say in his party which is covered by a foundation.
Look at Trump, who wants to be the only one to decide and does not accept a say nor takes no for an answer.
If it is up to him, he alone is the ultimate factor that determines.
That is why figures such as Wilders and Trump, but also Le Pen and others, hate the judiciary and want to remove the seperation of powers of the nation.
Absolute power is what these extreme populists strive for.
Construction or destruction within Europe is also a choice that every Christian must make for himself.
A Christian pursues the good, if it is okay.
The apostles as it were, were the first world travellers, citizens of a large and wide world in which own people first played no part.
Where can the Spirit of Christ be found in the choice Christians make for or against Europe?
Which (political or economic) gurus of the West or the East play a role in the way contemporary Christians act and think?
Are Christians determined by dogmatic and legalistic way of thinking of their ecclesiastical group or not?
Is it constructive or destructive for a Christian who is ruled by the leadership of his church concerning the deemed desirability of the number of children?
Is it constructive or destructive if a Christian let himself be dictated when to watch TV or not or when to work or not?
By whom does a Christian allow himself to be enslaved, by whom or what is he determined in his way of thinking or acting with regard to the integration of Europe, or, for example the accepting of refugees?
