LETTER FROM HENK

In the letter that Henk Blankespoor sent to Gerard Blankespoor on September 27 1995, and of which he sent a copy to other church executives in the Netherlands and also added it to his statement in 1999 during his interrogation by the police in Rijswijk, the following can be read (the commentary on the one liners of Henk Blankespoor are immediately in the red below):

1. Henk Blankespoor makes an urgent and final appeal to Gerard Blankespoor.

A final appeal from Henk Blankespoor to Gerard Blankespoor, as if he had some form of authority  over people and in particular over Gerard Blankespoor.

This dominance, which radiates from the whole letter, is a misguided position of being a “reverend”, with preacher used as an euphemism.

Dominance in this form is an aberration, characteristic of dictators and autocrats.

2. Henk Blankespoor calls the path that Gerard Blankespoor has taken in life a dead end street.

Here are in brief the achievements of Gerard Blankespoor, which Henk Blankespoor calls a dead end street:

– A very highly esteemed police career until the end of 1982, in which Gerard Blankespoor is considered to be one of the best of his training period.

– Final diploma of the Central Pentecostal Bible School in 1985, to where Gerard Blankespoor was already assigned during his training in 1984 as auxiliary minister of the Filadelfia community in Apeldoorn.

– Gerard Blankespoor was confirmed in 1985 as an independent minister of the Filadelfia community in Apeldoorn.

– In 1985, Gerard Blankespoor becomes a translator at the Jimmy Swaggert Ministries in the USA for translating sermons into Dutch.

– Gerard Blankespoor founded the Sheba Foundation in 1987 for helping addicts, which under his leadership expanded to 48 places.

– In 1987, Gerard Blankespoor was appointed by the JSM USA as director of the JSM in the Netherlands.

– In 1987, Gerard Blankespoor founded the World Ministries foundation to sell under his leadership videotapes, records and books in the Netherlands.

– In 1988, Gerard Blankespoor became a member of the board of Teen Challange Nederland in Doorn.

– In 1988, Gerard Blankespoor founded the Helping Hands foundation to collaborate with organizations in Africa and Eastern Europe.

– In 1989, Gerard Blankespoor is installed as a member of the board of the Eastern Europe committee of the The Assemblies of God of The Pentecostal Churches in the Netherlands.

– On August 4 1989, Gerard Blankespoor is certified in the USA with a License to Preach, issued by The World Evangelism Fellowship.

– From 1986 to 1990, evangelism by means of dance and play and supporting tasks took place in churches in Spain, England, Poland and Ukraine under the inspiring leadership of Gerard Blankespoor.

– At the end of 1990, Gerard Blankespoor quits as pastor of Filadelfia and as director of the various foundations he founded.

– At the end of 1990, Gerard Blankespoor founded the Evangelical Congregation De Rots and foundation De Schakel for addiction care.

– In 1995, under the leadership of Gerard Blankspoor, the Soup trolley project for the distribution of food to homeless people in Apeldoorn starts.

– In 1996, Gerard Blankespoor opened a new office of De Schakel on Curaçao with a full time working staff-member.

– In 1997, Gerard Blankespoor started practical assistance in and to the Ukraine, with regard to building and renovating churches, schools and orphanages.

– On September 3, 1997 Gerard Blankespoor marries his great love Caroline. On that occasion his children Timo and Maritza, as well as his old mother, where best man/woman.

This marriage is ecclesiastically confirmed in the Evangelical church De Rots in Beekbergen.

– In 1998 the De Schakel Foundation, with its own board and medical staff, has grown to become the largest private rehabilitation center in the Netherlands, with 130 reception places.

– At the beginning of 1998 the expansion plans for De Schakel are being prepared with the architect for the installation of new extra housing accomodation, so that the reception can be extended to 350 people.

– In March 1999, the board of De Schakel and Gerard Blankespoor signed an agreement for scientific research by the Free University under the direction of Prof. PhD. Gerben Heitink, Professor of Practical Theology department.

With this research the effects will be measured of the therapeutic pedagogical treatment technique on a hermeneutical nouthetic basis for addicts developed by Gerard Blankespoor.

– In 1999, Gerard Blankespoor graduated from the Free University at the Faculty of General Theology in Amsterdam in the field of Practical Theology under the direction of Prof. PhD. Gerben Heitink.

Only the graduation thesis needs to be written, for which the supervising lecturers already were determined by Prof. PhD. Gerben Heitink, in order to receive the title of Drs. (a Dutch academic title called Doctorandus).

– On May 18 1999, Gerard, Fred and Henk Blankespoor were torned from their beds and arrested on basis of false accusations. Due to this event the foundation De Schakel and Evangelical church De Rots will go bankrupt in September 1999.

– To acquire an income, Gerard Blankespoor founded the company Lazar International BV mid- 2000, which trades in products and applications for the maintenance of industrial buildings.

– At the end of 2007 Gerard Blankespoor emigrates to Bulgaria with his wife Caroline to build a new life, which among other things results in the foundation in 2012 of the company Dunamis International Ltd. for trading goods, selling real estate and organizing dental trips to Bulgaria.

– To this day of writing, August 2017, Gerard Blankespoor’s vocation is still vigorously portrayed as a living witness of God’s love and power in this world.

The portayel by Henk Blankespoor about a dead end street of Gerard Blankespoor’s life and actions, is hereby sufficiently contradicted!

3. Henk Blankespoor states that Gerard Blankespoor profits from his family name to make sure he gets his good side in the country.

Henk Blankespoor states that he and only he is responsible for the reputation of that surname.

When Gerard Blankespoor started to participate first as a theological student at Zeist and after that became a minister and spiritual counselor, the surname Blankespoor was rather an infected name, which was equal to hautain, authoritarian, arrogant and vindictive spiritual leadership and with which Henk Blankespoor wanted to become the first appointed pope of Pentecostal churches in the Netherlands.

To have that surname Blankespoor was more of a handicap, than to make sure that I get his good side, according to Gerard Blankespoor.

4. Henk Blankespoor states that in his healthy local church under the leadership of Henk Blankespoor, Gerard Blankespoor has failed and that this should have been a reason not to accept Gerard Blankespoor as a student of theology at the Bible school in Zeist.

We will elaborate on this during the interrogation of Henk Blankespoor by the police in Rijswijk (see “False Charges”).

It only underscores the insane thoughts and expressions of Henk Blankespoor, who has been treated by a psychiatrist in his youth for a good reason.

Apparently this did not have the desired outcome.

5. According to Henk Blankespoor The Bible school in Zeist has helped Gerard Blankespoor in the saddle and became overbred with an inconceivable havoc as an end result.

The Bible school in Zeist did not help anybody in the saddle nor overbred anyone.

In fact, Gerard Blankespoor and his ex-wife Jane Oostrom had to work hard to finance the study and have built up their lives through their efforts as mentioned in point 2.

Therefore havoc or inconceivable havoc, caused by Gerard Blankespoor is totally out of the question; a true reconstruction of the facts by Henk Blankespoor is totally out of the question, only alternative facts, a construction of non-existing facts, guided by so-called spiritual insights of a jealous and rancorous leader, made up by Henk Blankespoor.

After all, Gerard Blankespoor was indeed successful as described in point 2 above and Henk Blankespoor clearly can and could not stand it that his younger brother Gerard Blankespoor was more well-known than he was and had achieved even more, beyond the borders of the Netherlands, including in the USA and Curaçao.

Reviewing the minutes of the ecclesiastical congregation meeting of the Vegho (Henk’s church) and the letters from church members written to Henk Blankespoor in 1984, Henk Blankespoor probably means the havoc he wreaked in his own ecclesiastical congregation, with the following descriptions:

– Half truths are told by Henk Blankespoor.

– A convulsively consensus is radiated in the Vegho.

– One man must swear allegiance to Pastor Henk Blankespoor.

– Self-justification and pride are words that are not allowed to be mentioned as characteristics for                                                Henk Blankespoor.

– There is autocratic leadership by Henk Blankespoor instead of theocratic leadership.

– Henk Blankespoor presents himself as unfallible, a man without mistakes.

– Pride is evidently showed in sermons and conversations with Henk Blankespoor.

– The opinion of Henk Blankespoor is the word of God and thus the end of all contradictions.

– One can no longer unite with the functioning of the leadership by Henk Blankespoor.

– Questions about Henk Blankespoor are not answered by Henk Blankespoor on basis of the Old and New Testament where a leader was never held accountable, according to Henk Blankespoor.

– Henk Blankespoor continues to think the way he does, even if others will leave him and his church.

– Henk Blankespoor does not defend a fair case.

– It is not allowed to put Henk Blankespoor to the test by Vegho church members.

The result of all of this for Henk Blankespoor and his ecclesiastical community became clear, more than half of his followers left his church. That is real inconceivable havoc!

Gerard Blankespoor himself has resigned from the Filadelfia community in Apeldoorn; for Henk Blankespoor it would have been far more better to listen to the members of the congregation and to withdraw as leader of that community.

6. Henk Blankespoor writes that prophetically speaking he was most afraid that Gerard Blankespoor would be completely left to himself, which would only reveal that he was not capable of anything.

Despite Henk Blankespoor’s (the) prophetic wish (of Henk Blankespoor), the opposite would appear that Gerard Blankespoor was/is not capable of doing anything.

After writing this letter to Gerard Blankespoor in 1995, De Schakel developed on a spot of 11 hectares in Beekberg from a capacity of 24 up to 130 beds under the charismatic leadership of Gerard Blankespoor.

Evangelical Church De Rots grew accordingly. In other words Gerard Blankespoor was not alone and was also blessed from high above.

That was and is the visible reality.

7. Henk Blankespoor continues to say that the work of addicts set up by Gerard Blankespoor has been demolished and ruined by the same Gerard Blankespoor, because in the opinion of Henk Blankespoor, Gerard Blankespoor is fundamentally unfit to be in charge of anything.

If there is someone who needs help, it is Gerard Blankespoor!

Now Henk Blankespoor has completely lost any sense of reality.

He says and writes what he prefers to happen to his brother Gerard Blankespoor, probably because of his own lack of leadership qualities and the personal problems he experiences in his inner functioning.

To portray someone like Gerard Blankespoor as fundamentally unfit to be in charge of anything, shows not only a lack of factual know-how of Henk Blankespoor, but it even radiates a deep aversion, if not hatred to his own brother Gerard Blankespoor.

Indeed, for this Henk Blankespoor should be hospitalised and get treated in order to finish what in his youth the psychiatrist was not able to do!

8. His youngest brother Gerard Blankespoor is on the edge of the abyss, or should he say with one foot already over the edge?

There is not much there to save and Gerard Blankespoor will have to bear the consequences of his deeds for life, according to Henk Blankespoor.

It is correct what Henk Blankespoor writes, deeds have consequences and you have to learn to live and deal with the outcome.

But to see Gerard Blankespoor into the abyss goes much to far. Based on what?

Despite the mistakes Gerard has made as a human being, he has had a very fruitful and blessed life!

Gerard Blankespoor’s performance, functioning and blessings he received, have already been adequately described above. Again we have to refer to the psychiatrist for a thorough investigation into the sense of truth and the sense of reality of Henk Blankespoor.

9. Henk Blankespoor has not finished yet and states that Gerard Blankespoor, who is driven by jealousy and immense ambitions of a sad inferiority complex – always eagerly wanted a lot of publicity, of which he has been amply awarded.

That Gerard Blankespoor reached the news quite often is correct.

That already started during his time at the police in The Hague, with his tenure as a police officer which resulted in a picture in the local newspaper and also at the installation of the then new phenomenon of community police officer in a special unit, etc..

Gerard Blankespoor has always been keen on new challenges, both during his time at the police and afterwards as a minister.

And yes, that results in publicity, which Gerard Blankespoor did not necessarily look for. The media automatically came to him; at the police, at the confirmation as pastor in Apeldoorn, at the organization of large-scale ecclesiastical events, at the founding and functioning of Sheba and afterwards De Schakel, the “fall” of Jimmy Swaggart and the news of his arrest in 1999.

Gerard Blankespoor was and is a man involved in society in which he was active. Hence the attention of the newspapers, on television in the Netherlands, Curaçao and the USA.

For Gerard Blankespoor it was just part of the activities. After all, if you put your head above the ground level, you will be seen!

Gerard Blankespoor was and is never driven by any form of jealousy, or ambitions coming from an inferiority complex. He was and still is driven by only one thing; the love of God, who called him in His service, to be a support for his fellow-men.

It sounds boring, but here again the observation that Henk Blankespoor never could have swallowed the fact that the media paid more attention to his younger brother then to him and actually achieved more than he, Henk Blankespoor, will ever be able to achieve.

A jealousy and hatred, which Henk Blankespoor portrays, is all consuming for the bearer!

10. All Gerard Blankespoor’s sins, his broken marriage, his family included, his failed functioning in society; everything, almost everything is out in the open by the media naming and shaming, according to Henk Blankespoor.

Henk Blankespoor uses the general term “sins”, but does not specify what the content should be.

It is the same old song of stigmatizing, sitting on his high throne of spiritual leader of a church in The Hague.

After all, in the entourage of Henk Blankespoor the terms “sins” and “sinners” are heavily loaded terms and once you have been labeled as such as a christian, you will be out of the picture for most believers (read: Henk Blankespoor’s followers).

However, Henk Blankespoor forgets that Gerard Blankespoor has the same office, in addition to his directorship of the De Schakel foundation.

Gerard Blankespoor is a minister, by that time of the evangelical church De Rots in Beekbergen and did not and does not stand under the spiritual authority of his brother Henk.

So the conclusion needs to be that Henk Blankespoor creates an attitude of authority which in reality he does not have, to judge his brother Gerard about his many sins, that is to say a fellow minister who works in a different congregation than Henk Blankespoor.

Moreover, who would have no sins?

God alone is the judge of the potential sins of man!

Someone in a position like Henk Blankespoor should know this and has to act accordingly.

Therefore the entire letter from Henk Blankespoor to his brother Gerard Blankespoor is by far not really a pastoral letter from which a real “pastoral” concern radiates about the fortunes of Gerard Blankespoor.

It is looking for an opportunity to be right about the fact that Gerard Blankespoor is good for nothing.

Actually this is a failed attempt, as be reflected by the facts around Gerard Blankespoor.

Henk Blankespoor continues to mention Gerard Blankespoor’s broken marriage and broken family.

Yes indeed, after 25 years of marriage, the marriage ended in divorce because at that time his wife felt it necessary to leave him together with Rob Engels, an addict in rehabilitation at De Schakel, with whom she had had an extra-marital sexual relationship for 3 months.

No, there is no question of a broken family, because Gerard Blankespoor’s daughter was already married and started her own family and his son simply stayed with his father.

Both children did not cut ties with their father so far (as of end of 2015). Gerard Blankespoor is also the proud grandfather of 4 grandchildren.

Henk Blankespoor finishes his sentence mentioning that everything is out in the open by the media naming and shaming.

The only thing that has been mentioned in the newspapers is that his ex wife has gone off with another and that Gerard Blankespoor has had an extra-marital afair that he ended in 1994.

If this is everything, it is but a bleak harvest for someone who is portrayed by Henk Blankespoor as  such a bad person and as a failure.

The only thing that Henk Blankespoor shows is envy and hatred towards his brother Gerard. There is no room for love or compassion at all!

11. Henk Blankespoor accelerates even more and writes, that the world can enjoy that the name of the Lord is being slandered again and again and damaged repeatedly in one part of the country. This also applies to the precious testimony of the Pentecostal movement, where Gerard Blankespoor tried to penetrate himself as a leader in a carnal manner.

Again Henk Blankespoor can’t help himself and apparently does not figure out that his tone and the content of his writing tells everything about him and nothing about Gerard Blankespoor.

In the opinion of Henk Blankespoor the name of the Lord is being blasphemed and insulted.

Yes, it would have been better if this (temporary) turbulence would not have taken place for the sake of Gerard Blankespoor’s work in De Schakel and the evangelical community De Rots.

However, where people are operating as called upon in the Kingdom of God, there wil be damage and insults!

An example is the dispute between Paul and Peter and the impact this has had.

Furthermore, the whole history of the church and therefore also the history of Henk and Gerard Blankespoor, is full of quarrels, schisms and discord.

Nothing new under the sun, unfortunately!

Henk Blankespoor also thinks that Gerard Blankespoor has penetrated the Pentecostal movement.

Henk Blankespoor is so much fueled by his inner hatred towards his brother Gerard, that in this case knowing the facts, he chooses to construct a perverse fantasy about his brother Gerard Blankespoor.

Henk Blankespoor has clearly become food for psychiatrists! The Post Truth era did not start with Trump, but with Henk Blankespoor himself!

Gerard Blankespoor has never, ever, forced himself on to anyone nor on an institution like the Assemblies of God of the Pentecostal Churches in the Netherlands, let alone that he imposed himself like an intruder.

As mentioned earlier, after quiting his police career, Gerard Blankespoor registered himself at the Bible School in Zeist (part of the Assemblies of God of Pentecostal Churches in the Netherlands) and was therefore accepted.

After his final exam the Assemblies of God requested him to become a minister at the Filadelfia church in Apeldoorn and received his confirmation as such becoming a part of the Assemblies as well.

Gerard Blankespoor was also asked by the same Assemblies of God to become a member of the national board of Teen Challenge Netherlands.

Again by the same Assemblies of God in collaboration with the Assemblies of God (USA), Gerard Blankespoor was chosen to function as a translator for the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries in the USA.

What do you mean penetrated into the Pentecostal movement?

Lack of knowledge of Henk Blankespoor?

No, just lies, constructed perverse fantasies to kick his brother Gerard Blankespoor as hard as possible, so that Gerard would disappear from the spiritual stage for ever.

How sick can one be?!

Henk Blankespoor says in a casual way, that the slander and damage caused by Gerard applies to only a part of the country of course.

Henk Blankespoor would like to underscore that Gerard Blankespoor is the small-time player, he is actually the big one.

Again the same constructed perverse fantasy.

Gerard Blankespoor performed on a national and international stage and made the headlines in the Netherlands, Curaçao and the United States whether it was for positive or negative news coverages.

The envy of Henk Blankespoor is characteristic; after all, he thinks of himself as the best, the biggest and most important figure in the Netherlands! (Perhaps a distant relative of Trump?!)

At any cost this can not and should not be his brother Gerard Blankespoor; he rather proclaims obvious lies with disdain and contempt about Gerard.

Henk Blankespoor apparently does not realize that God is not at all about who is the greatest or the best or the most important, in contrary!

12. Again Henk Blankespoor urges Gerard Blankespoor to really listen to him, because the absolute downfall is not yet in sight for Gerard Blankespoor.

It can become worse; prison time, an institution or worse … according to the stories Henk Blankespoor hears.

If Henk Blankespoor has to believe the stories, things can get even worse, because the downfall for Gerard Blankespoor is not yet in sight; prison, an institution or even worse ….

For Henk Blankespoor the desire is the father of the thought.

That is apparently what he prefers for his brother Gerard; once and for all let it be finished with Gerard Blankespoor, by whom Henk Blankespoor as it seems felt being harassed all of his life.

A Gerard Blankespoor, who goes beyond Henk Blankespoor, is an unbearable thought for him and out of the question!

There is no choice for Henk Blankespoor, but prison or an institution for his brother Gerard.

Then I am free of him so I can move freely without suffering from any of Gerard Blankespoor’s performances.

Henk Blankespoor is not original with his thoughts either; Joseph’s brothers preceded him and a number of others in Biblical and Church history.

Sad, but above all it is sad for Henk Blankespoor.

He is intelligent enough and, like his brother Gerard, a charismatic and gifted speaker.

Henk Blankespoor urges Gerard Blankespoor to finally listen to him, then he does not have to go to jail or to an institution.

How ironic is Henk Blankespoor’s life story.

Henk Blankespoor never really wanted to listen to Gerard who wanted to cooperate with him during  the period that Gerard still went to Henk Blankespoor’s church.

This was resolutely rejected by Henk Blankespoor in 1982, because he felt threatened in his position.

The same applies to more than half of his then parishioners who in 1984 begged Henk Blankespoor to start listening in order to reconcile with his staff in the counsil of elders (the board of his church), who were also seen as a threat to Henk Blankespoor’s position as minister.

Pride comes before the fall, also applies to Henk Blankespoor.

Thankfully, God also has a good sense of humor, due to the fact that Henk Blankespoor, like his brothers Fred and Gerard, ended up in jail on May 18, 1999.

An unintended outcome for Henk Blankespoor about what he wrote to his brother Gerard in 1995!

Again, it is sad and pathetic for Henk Blankespoor, even though he was not to blame for his arrest on the basis of false charges.

On the contrary, none of the three Blankespoor brothers have to blame themselves on this point, but after his release Henk Blankespoor denied to the leading figures in the Pentecostal movement in the Netherlands, that he had something to do with the events surrounding the arrest of Gerard Blankespoor.

Henk Blankespoor had better just tell the truth, but he thought that nobody had noticed that he has been arrested in the same court case as his brothers Fred and Gerard Blankespoor.

However this (yet another) lie of Henk Blankespoor became known and he lost the confidence of the majority of the leading figures of the Pentecostal movement and as a consequence he was regarded as a pariah.

At that moment the world of Henk Blankespoor truly collapsed; an prominent position was no longer possible for him, gone what should have been the crown on all his achievements, the papacy of the Pentecostal movement.

Poor, miserable and pathetic Henk Blankespoor!

But all things will work out well for those who love God, including Henk Blankespoor.

Henk Blankespoor has never enjoyed the life of ordinary people. He studied quite a lot and after his education in England he became a minister, just like his brother Gerard.

In the religious views of Henk Blankespoor, there was not much or no room at all for people thinking differently.

As he is no longer welcome in most of the Pentecostal churches, Henk Blankespoor is now forced to think and act more ecumenically.

This results, among other things, in preaching in an ecumenical community in Turkey, leading a (more or less Islamic) burial in Turkey and attending an Anglican church in The Hague.

According to Gerard Blankespoor, there is still hope that his brother Henk Blankespoor can also overcome his jealousy, hatred and condemnation towards him.

In any case that would be the best for his brother Henk Blankespoor!

13. Henk Blankespoor states that only the bare-knuckle truth will be able to cure Gerard Blankespoor.

Gerard Blankespoor, will you at last yield to it before the final curtain falls?

Henk Blankespoor summons Gerard Blankespoor to face the bare-knuckle truth before the final curtain falls.

Which truth does Henk Blankespoor actually mean here?

As can be seen from the entire letter to Gerard Blankespoor, it is the truth of Henk Blankespoor about his brother Gerard.

However, as has been substantiated before, this is a reality constructed by Henk Blankespoor himself; in other words, delusions that have nothing to do with the verifiable reality and are therefore not true.

Henk Blankespoor has always been good in trying to impose his delusions on his bystanders.

As a teenager, he regularly flushed magazines, such as the Libelle and Margriet, down the drain of the toilet in his parental home.

Henk Blankespoor motivated these deeds by stating that this was diabolical literature that does not belong in the home he lives in.

In addition to the fact that this kind of thinking and acting of Henk Blankespoor caused a lot of inconvenience for his father, who had to unclog the drain every time, Henk Blankespoor completely ignored the fact that it was the home of his parents and that they determine what happens in the family, including what can be read.

Henk Blankespoor thought and still thinks that he should be the determining factor and simply goes his own way beyond reach of reason.

According to Gerard Blankespoor that was the whole reason for the fact that he eventually ended up visiting a psychiatrist in the past, as for the present, it resulted in the fact that Henk Blankespoor’s life-work in The Hague was broken down by his own hands and is hardly allowed on the pulpit anywhere in The Netherlands.

This should not have been the case if he had simply kept himself to the objective truth and then told that truth.

But no, Henk Blankespoor was driven by demons; no one and nobody should associate him with his brother Gerard Blankespoor, whom he deeply resent for everything Gerard Blankespoor is as a person and for what he has accomplished.

This jealousy and hatred towards Gerard Blankespoor seems to destroy Henk Blankespoor and his legacy, in contrast to that of Gerard, whose legacy in the objective verifiable reality stands as a rock!

14. In addition Henk Blankespoor also accuses Gerard Blankespoor of offending Henk and his wife Elly Blankespoor by showing them the door, while in fact they only wanted a minimal normal family contact.

Gerard Blankespoor, according to Henk Blankespoor, would also have done the same to his old mother.

Henk Blankespoor has more delusions in store for his brother Gerard Blankespoor namely that Henk Blankespoor has always wanted to maintain the family relationship as normal as possible.

The real truth is, that this was not even possible when Henk Blankespoor was a teenager still living at home; all sorts of magazines went down the toilet and (birthday) parties were literally out of the question!

When Henk Blankespoor was married, only a controlled visit to his home was allowed, so that his own father and mother regularly found the door closed even when Henk was at home.

Henk Blankespoor hardly or not at all visited his parents who lived less than 150 meters away from him.

Henk Blankespoor further claims that when Gerard Blankespoor lived in Apeldoorn and was confirmed as a minister, Gerard offended him and his wife Elly, by showing them the door every time they tried to come by.

Again a selective, but especially a constructed memory full of fantasy.

The truth is that he visited Gerard Blankespoor only once and he was given a friendly reception, then completely ignored Gerard Blankespoor to start a conversation on “his level” with Claudi, Gerard Blankespoor’s daughter.

After all, Claudi Blankespoor, like Henk Blankespoor, had attended a grammer school.

Within half an hour Henk Blankespoor left the Gerard’s house and the following week at the pulpit in The Hague he announced that he had done his utmost to restore contact with Gerard Blankespoor.

However, according to Henk Blankespoor, this was impossible due to the dismissive and destructive attitude of Gerard Blankespoor.

What a MADNESS!, in addition it should also be noted that Elly, the wife of Henk Blankespoor, never visited Gerard Blankespoor in Apeldoorn.

According to Henk Blankespoor, the old mother of Gerard Blankespoor would have suffered the same fate as Henk Blankespoor experienced in Apeldoorn.

Here too, the reality is completely different.

Henk Blankespoor also suggests that he had a very good relationship with his old mother.

Nothing can be far more from the truth!

Next to the controlled visits mentioned before, which Henk Blankespoor allowed on request to his parents and others who wanted to visit him and his children, Henk Blankespoor visited his parents at the most once a year for a very brief moment.

This situation worsened after 1979, when Henk Blankespoor at the cremation of his father was called upon to speak and then preached hell and damnation and literally placed his own father in hell, because his father did not believe what he, Henk Blankespoor, believed!

Henk Blankespoor, to his great displeasure, has never been able to impose his will on his parents.

This and even more unpleasant experiences of his old mother with her eldest son Henk Blankespoor, have led to a definitive split between her and Henk Blankespoor, which is underlined by the explicit request of his old mother that Henk Blankespoor was not allowed to attend her funeral or get any part in the inheritance!

That is the real truth about Henk Blankespoor and his old mother!

(What the truth of the matter)What is true, is that Gerard Blankespoor did not have any contact with his mother for a short period of time, but that this was restored as a result of the events in 1995, of which Henk Blankespoor expresses his displeasure in his letter to Gerard Blankespoor and condemns him.

After that his old mother moved to Apeldoorn to live close to her two children, Fred and Gerard Blankespoor.

Henk Blankespoor has never made a single attempt to visit his old mother in Apeldoorn.

The psychological phenomenon of Henk Blankespoor’s projection is clearly visible here!

What Henk Blankespoor blames Gerard Blankespoor for, is actually the behavior of Henk Blankespoor himself!

15. Henk Blankespoor accuses Gerard Blankespoor of the fact that he tries to be a Christian with his pious talk and that the split personality of Gerard Blankespoor has now taken its toll.

Henk Blankespoor further states that Gerard Blankespoor is a split personality, on the one hand a christian, on the other an infidel.

Henk Blankespoor writes that Gerard Blankespoor talks in a pious way, but that his actions make clear that those pious words do not cover the reality.

This has taken its toll for Gerard Blankespoor, the price Gerard had to pay is a fact, according to Henk Blankespoor.

What a perception, devoid of every sense of reality.

Gerard Blankespoor made it clear with his words and in plain view of everyone, especially with his actions including the mistakes he made, that he is a man of his word and always speaks the truth.

Even as this is to his disadvantage.

Gerard Blankespoor is the first to admit when he has acted wrongly or that he regrets that certain events happened the way they did.

On top of that, his actions speak of his devotion towards Christ; his unquenchable practical commitment to the work of God, whereby over the years thousands of people have been helped practically, psychologically, emotionally and even physically through the institutions he founded and managed, like foundation Sheba, foundation De Schakel, foundation Helping Hands, foundation World Ministries , the Soup trolley and many other initiatives, such as practical support in terms of delivering goods to Poland and the Ukraine.

Gerard Blankespoor is not a supermodel christian, as many fundamentalist believers would like to see it.

Gerard Blankespoor is a christian who practices love for and of Christ to the benefit of his fellow man.

Gerard Blankespoor is a christian who therefore WON’T fit into a beautiful, pious picture, dictated by the many dogmas, particularly from fundamentalist, legalistic circles, societies and churches.

This is a different picture than Henk Blankespoor has of Gerard Blankespoor, but that image is the truth and a faithful representation of the man and christian by conviction, Gerard Blankespoor.

The toll Gerard Blankespoor paid, which Henk Blankespoor could not imagine at the time of writing his letter in 1995 to Gerard Blankespoor, was indeed paid, but not because of the so-called truth Henk states about Gerard Blankespoor.

The toll that was paid was caused more than four years later due to the false charges by Edith Blankespoor and Martijn Overduin against Henk, Fred and Gerard Blankespoor.

As a result the life’s work of Gerard Blankespoor has been shut down in a practical sense and at this moment is becoming visible in a totally different way in 2017.

The fact that Henk Blankespoor had to pay his toll as well is also very sad, although this is partly his own fault due to the fact that he has concealed the full truth about his involvement in the false charges.

The unvarnished truth speaks for itself!

16. Henk Blankespoor continued to pray that his heart would be free of resentment, so that he might be there for Gerard Blankespoor at that critical juncture in the future, which would inevitably come.

To a greater or lesser extent Henk Blankespoor apparently recognizes that he suffers from resentment towards Gerard Blankespoor, because he writes that he has continued to pray that his heart may be free of it.

Unfortunately, after analysis of the merit of the letter from Henk Blankespoor to Gerard Blankespoor, it should be noted that Henk Blankespoor is psychologically and emotionally far from free of grudge to Gerard Blankespoor.

In fact, even a certain amount of blind hatred is established in this letter.

Henk Blankespoor does not notice this hatred, even after reading this letter once or twice before sending it to Gerard Blankespoor.

What he does discover in his heart is a grudge to Gerard Blankespoor, but he prays that it would not be the case. What Henk Blankespoor does not notice is that the bearer of this resentment, the unvarnished hatred of his brother Gerard Blankespoor, remains inside of him.

A very serious matter for the health of the emotional and psychic life of Henk Blankespoor.

After all, hatred as a counterpart of love ultimately consumes the human being and makes that human being willfully blind!

That is exactly what happens to Henk Blankespoor in writing this letter to Gerard Blankespoor; Henk Blankespoor no longer notices that his brother Gerard Blankespoor clearly did perform very well, but he sees the end of Gerard Blankespoor falling into the abyss.

Henk Blankespoor also does not notice that the content of his writing has a far from pastoral approach to someone who, according to Henk Blankespoor himself, is in a serious need of help.

From a minister without hatred, things can and must be expected differently.

Unfortunately, Henk Blankespoor’s writing is a far from a “pastoral letter”, deprived of any kind of love for a fellow human being, who at the same time is also his brother!

His eye is only focused on his own (delusional) ideas and fantasies about his brother Gerard Blankespoor, motivated by jealousy, converted into grudge and after many years of nurturing eventually became hatred in his inner life.

Even if a person were so in need as Henk Blankespoor describes, then that person would NOT be able to grab the hand that Henk Blankespoor offers him for salvation.

That person would have been pushed over the edge of the abyss by this devastating letter from Henk Blankespoor.

Or was this perhaps his intention?

How different could it have been, if Henk Blankespoor had given room to his fellow-leading members in his then church and had allowed recognition of Gerard Blankespoor’s calling.

Then half of Henk Blankespoor’s church had not run away.

Together with them and Gerard Blankespoor, he would have had a thriving, practically functioning community, full of life and with a real focus towards fellow human beings and for the world in which man lives.

Love for everything and everyone, as a testimony of and for God.

Henk Blankespoor chose differently in 1982.

He did not want to listen to anyone and sat on his “Full Gospel throne” in The Hague as an absolute ruler, a dictator, a mini-pope.

This has resulted in the extreme outflow of members of his church in 1984.

After that, Henk Blankespoor only lost ground in the Christian world that he so badly wanted to lead.

On top of this, there are also the false charges in 1999 with all its consequences.

This is something you don’t wish for anyone to happen, not even for Henk Blankespoor, according to Gerard Blankespoor.

Despite the letter of 1995 from Henk Blankespoor to Gerard Blankespoor, he remains his oldest brother and a fellow man who needs a lot of love.

17. Henk Blankespoor could not stop crying over Gerard Blankespoor; what can be done, before Gerard Blankespoor wakes up? Like no other, he writes, Henk Blankespoor knows the hole smashed into Gerard Blankespoor’s hart since his earliest childhood. Yet not everything is lost.

Even now there is mercy for Gerard Blankespoor, despite all the terrible things he has done, only if he, Gerard Blankespoor, would want to step out of his play and no longer whishes to be the big shot.

Because he is only pathetic.

Now Henk Blankespoor is also becoming sentimental.

He had to cry so much!

About what?

As said before, Henk Blankespoor could have been happy and proud of what his brother Gerard Blankespoor has achieved in the real world!

A missed opportunity.

Gerard Blankespoor is not at all in need and knows better than anyone who he is and what he has achieved, what he has done and has not done!

Henk Blankespoor clearly believes in his own delusions, his own fantasies about Gerard Blankespoor, of which he could not stop crying.

That is not only very sad, but objectively pathetic behavior, carried by narcissism and hatred towards his brother Gerard Blankespoor.

Like no other, Henk Blankespoor knows about the hole smashed into Gerard Blankespoor’s heart since his earliest childhood.

At the end of his letter to Gerard Blankespoor, this is quite a remarkable observation by Henk Blankespoor; a kind of climax, which could have served as an “eye-opener” for Henk Blankespoor himself.

However, his hate for Gerard Blankespoor prevents Henk Blankespoor from making that visible.

After all, the truth is that Henk Blankespoor does not know Gerard Blankespoor at all.

Gerard Blankespoor has had no contact with Henk Blankespoor from a young age on.

The latter is already busy with two things as a child, his studies and his faith.

Henk Blankespoor locked himself up in his studyroom, or he was off to religious meetings.

Later on Henk Blankespoor declared this to the police in Rijswijk, after his arrest in 1999:

“I have never been able to get on well with Gerard Blankespoor”.

Gerard Blankespoor confirms this as well by stating that in the period that Gerard Blankespoor and his family joined the church of Henk Blankespoor there was a better relationship with each other, but having a good relationship can not be said for certain.

At that time Henk Blankespoor kept his distance to Gerard Blankespoor, and if there was a direct conversation, Henk Blankespoor tried to corner Gerard Blankespoor under the guise of a pastoral conversation.

As Gerard Blankespoor puts it: “Henk Blankespoor can claim a lot, but knowing me, as he claims he does, has never been able to develop”.

Henk Blankespoor also does not specify the so-called hole in the heart of Gerard Blankespoor and so it remains a loose cannon of Henk Blankespoor trying to inflict emotional pain on Gerard.

Gerard Blankespoor says that he does not know where Henk Blankespoor is referring to and therefore does not feel at all inflicted by this remark from Henk Blankespoor.

It therefore becomes clearly a part of the delusions and fantasies that Henk Blankespoor has constructed about Gerard Blankespoor.

In the view of Henk Blankespoor about Gerard Blankespoor, there is even mercy after all those terrible things that Gerard Blankespoor has done.

In the opinion of Henk Blankespoor, this means going on your knees for your older brother Henk and then surrender yourself to him, then his absolution follows and after that you only have to do what Henk Blankespoor dictates from his throne.

That’s how it went and that’s how it goes with all followers of Henk Blankespoor, including his own children and grandchildren, at least as far as he still has them today.

Henk Blankespoor shows himself as a sick person who stands totally out of touch with the reality of life in the real world.

Pathetic, but unfortunately all the more true!

But, Henk Blankespoor says, there is hope for Gerard Blankespoor if he stops wanting to be the big shot.

Henk Blankespoor also makes clear what motivates him.

It is the envy towards Gerard Blankespoor, who in reality is indeed the big guy due to what he has achieved;

who got a lot of attention from members of the Dutch Parliament in The Hague because of his national and international operating rehabilitation program for addicts;

has also sat down with the Ministers in charge on Curaçao and St. Maarten

who has also concluded an agreement with the Dutch Ministry of Justice to take in and rehabilitate convicted addicts as a substitute for prison time;

who engaged in many appropriate contacts with churches and other institutions in the Netherlands and abroad.

What do you mean, wanting to be the big shot?

Before his wrongful arrest in 1999, Gerard Blankespoor was a man who was treated with respect by everyone and being admired for what he had achieved.

Gerard Blankespoor had taken his legitimate place in society, nationally and internationally, including churches, with the exception of extreme groups like the one of Henk Blankespoor.

Henk Blankespoor actually thinks this is inappropriate; he, Henk Blankespoor, should actually be the big shot.

Henk Blankespoor’s drama is the obvious construction of a totally unique world of its own with Henk Blankespoor in the center.

But it is not true and a total fantasy.

Actually it is frightening when someone like Henk Blankespoor manifests himself in this manner in society. Psychological shortcomings and deviations are a genuine possibility for Henk Blankespoor, given his past and present.

In Henk Blankespoor’s direct family these kinds of things have been observed as well, whereby one of his children has been admitted to a psychiatric institution in the past.

18. “Gerard, brother, I strongly feel that it is now or never.

Will you please listen to your older brother, who wants to offer you help.

If you turn that down, you are doomed and cannot be saved. “

Henk Blankespoor feels that it is now or never, and pleads that Gerard Blankespoor listens to his older brother.

Henk Blankespoor clearly refers to the patriarchal system of the Old Testament, where the eldest brother is in charge of what happens in the family and from that position also had the wisdom and control over the other family members.

However, this is obviously not of this time, apart from the fact that Christ has set us free from slavery, including the patriarchal culture of the Old Testament.

That is why there is a New Testament!

Henk Blankespoor should not have written about this either.

Henk Blankespoor masks his inappropriate allegations of the so-called failures of Gerard Blankespoor with spirituality, which, as concluded, is a delusion, a fantasy, a construction of the reality as Henk Blankespoor would love to become unfolded. If Gerard Blankespoor declines the help his older brother offers him, he will be doomed and lost.

The question is what the basis is for this remark.

Gerard Blankespoor has never ever depended on anyone or anything.

If problems arose, he has solved them adequately with wisdom and insight in the matter.

Gerard Blankespoor has always been a mature, well-balanced and calm person who has been able to handle every crisis situation, as testified by his police career, as well as his admirable career as a pastor/counselor in the Netherlands and abroad.

Moreover, with a sense of reality that absolutely will blow Henk Blankespoor’s mind.

Gerard Blankespoor also recognizes his mistakes which he has made as a human being.

Gerard doomed and lost?

Yes, but only in the delusions, the fantasies of his older brother Henk Blankespoor!

And there is no future to that, let alone truth!

19. Henk Blankespoor concludes with the following:

“Gerard Blankespoor break with your arrogance, you have nothing left to lose.

Hey, you can only win.

For once, change the outlook of your life from what it is now.

Don’t desperately keep on trying to be someone you were obviously never called to be any longer. Only then there is a way out of this. “

Henk Blankespoor concludes with the appeal that Gerard Blankespoor must abandon his pride, his arrogance.

However, the fact is that Gerard Blankespoor knows who he is and who he certainly is not!

Gerard Blankespoor is an outstandingly balanced personality, equally psychologically, emotionally and rationally.

Only in this way he has been able to achieve what he has achieved in society.

By being this way he has been a blessing to virtually all the people he has spoken to and to all the people who has heard his sermons at home and abroad and to all the people he has provided with practical assistance in the foundations he has set up and managed with the help of the unique therapeutic-agogic hermeneutical-nouthetic well founded counseling method he has developed.

Gerard Blankespoor is proud of what he has been able to achieve in the real world, but to accuse him of pride and arrogance is not in touch with the reality of his personality, although everyone must be careful not to become haughty.

Henk Blankespoor can certainly follow the example of Gerard Blankespoor, although Henk will have some troubles with that idea.

After all, Gerard Blankespoor is Henk Blankespoor’s not listening, unmanageable, haughty and hopelessly lost brother, according to the delusions of the latter.

According to Henk Blankespoor, Gerard Blankespoor’s life should look different than it is now (in 1995).

The problem is in the perception that Henk Blankespoor holds of Gerard Blankespoor.

Gerard Blankespoor feels no need to change his life and his performance as an ex-police officer and/or minister/counselor.

Gerard Blankespoor’s words, and especially his deeds in this world are credible and are self-evident.

Who is Henk Blankespoor having the opinion about what Gerard Blankespoor has done is wrong and that it should be different (read: rewritten)?

According to the last sentence of Henk Blankespoor to Gerard Blankespoor, he would like to contribute to that, because:

“Stop trying to desperately be someone you were obviously never called to be.”

Unfortunately for Henk Blankespoor and his delusions about Gerard Blankespoor through which he pathetically tries to push Gerard Blankespoor his way in order to obtain more prestige in the (make belief) christian world in which Henk Blankespoor abides, Gerard Blankespoor’s life, his words, his actions , his accomplished performance and sense of reality, make it clear that he did and indeed still has a calling (anno 2017).

From an objective point of view this has been adequately described.

After all, there is only One who can call a person to give up everything for Him (in the case of Gerard Blankespoor his police career) in order to work in His vineyard. And that is only God Himself!

Henk Blankespoor thinks otherwise, because he already determined in 1979 that Gerard Blankespoor had no vocation, upon which Gerard Blankespoor replied that only God can determine such.

“I am telling you right!” was the answer of Henk Blankespoor.

Speaking of delusions, fantasies and construction of reality by Henk Blankespoor.

EXPLANATION:

Gerard Blankespoor never responded to this letter from 1995 as described above, because in fact it was a Judas kiss from Henk Blankespoor, meant as a stab in Gerard Blankespoor’s back.

The same applies to the fact that this letter from 1995 was added by Henk Blankespoor to his interrogation at the police in 1999.

In 1995 and 1999 Gerard Blankespoor wanted to rise above this and did not feel and still does not feel addressed by it.

This letter contains no substance, only slogans casu quo one-liners are used which actually shows Henk Blankespoor’s complex he suffers from.

The fact that this letter is published and commented on 20 years later, is due to the fact that it is to full advantage of the legacy of Gerard Blankespoor and that gurus, unfortunately, aren’t out of place  in christianity!

It should also be noted that the letter written in September 27 1995 by Henk Blankespoor to Gerard Blankespoor, actually says everything about Henk Blankespoor and nothing about Gerard Blankespoor.

The jealous, rancorous character of Henk Blankespoor, who cannot take no for an answer, is more than clear.

“PROFESSIONAL JEALOUSY CAN BRING DOWN A NATION

THE ONLY REQUIREMENT IS TO DELIVER ON TIME”
